Debbie Joyner is a Huntsville, AL native and University of Alabama School of Communications graduate. Married, with two grown children, Joyner has been active in her community, serving non-profit organizations as a volunteer, staff member and consultant. As a life-long learner, Joyner is committed to staying on top of the latest research in non-profit fundraising and board development.

CFRE International serves the public by offering a certification program that recognizes fundraising professionals who are committed to the highest standards of ethical and professional practice in the philanthropic sector. CFRE International establishes and administers a voluntary certification process based on current and valid standards that measure competency in the practice of philanthropic fundraising.
Certification requires 80 hours of continuing education, minimum of 5 years of fundraising experience and a passing grade on certification test.

CCFA is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding cures for
Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Serving as a member of the Alabama/NW Florida board of directors, and working to establish an advisory board for Huntsville.
The North Alabama Take Steps Walk raised over $25,000 in 2013, which represents a 100% increase since the first event in 2010.
